SIGN OF THE SUN

Our society is named after Wynkyn de Worde, the first printer in Fleet Street, who worked at the sign of the sun. Wynkyn, who had been Willam Caxton’s apprentice, inherited Caxton’s printing equipment. Over the years our honorary designers have created many differing sun logo designs for the society.
