In Memoriam – Alasdair Shand

One of our very long standing members, Alasdair Shand, has sadly recently died. The following is the notice of his death from The Telegraph:

Alasdair died peacefully on 14th November 2023 aged 88. Much loved husband of Angela for 63 years, father to James and Fiona, grandfather to Helena, Emily, Bunny, Pip, Annie and Ben and great-grandfather to Charlie. A Service of Thanksgiving will be held at St Mary's Church, Thundridge at 3 p.m. on Friday 8th December. No flowers please but donations welcome to St Mary's Church and the Isabel Hospice.

Alasdair had been a member of the Society since 1984.
